All:
Our group is seeking Donations/Contributions for
the parents of Pvt Hutchins, to enable them to
visit their son over the Christmas Holidays. As
most of you, on my list, know, Pvt Hutchins is
serving an 11 year sentence at the Military
Prison in Fort Leavenworth, Ks., as the result
of the sentence of a General Courts-Martial.
Most of us who sat through the entire
proceedings of that GCM are of our own opinions
that this was the "Best of the Best" of
any"Railroad Job" on the part of Military
Prosecutors, since the beginning of the war in
Iraq. We also are of our own opinions that our
government sanctioned this action and
the Marine Corps was backed into a corner to
take the action they did. Many of us, are still
working tirelessly, to get Pvt Hutchins
exonerated of all charges and released from
confinement. This would not only pertain to Pvt
Hutchins, but the remainder of his squad and
also the K/3/1 Marines, involved with Haditha
Incident, another "Railroad Job" sanctioned by
the government. The sanctioning was done to
appease the Iraqi government. What a lame-brain
excuse. Our young Marines, Soldiers and their
families are suffering personally and
financially due to this fiasco.
To get back to the subject at hand. Our goal is
to be able to raise enough money, through
Donations/Contributions, to sponsor the Hutchins
trip, to visit with their son, who they have not
seen in many months. The Hutchins have doled out
over $100,000 to Civilian Attorney's, to no
avail. To put it bluntly, their financial back
has been broken, but not their spirit.
Those desiring to participate should send their
Donation/Contribution to:
Mr.
Steve Bryant
4825 Millen Dr.
Mableton, Ga., 30126
Steve is a former Marine and friend of the
Hutchins family. He has agreed to take on this
monumental
task of handling the finances and will be happy
to provide an accounting of the funds received,
to anyone seeking that info. PLEASE BE ADVISED,
UNDERTHE LAW, THIS DONATION/CONTRIBUTION CAN NOT
BE USED AS A WRITE-OFF. We are not, under the
law,considered a non-profit group. Too expensive
and time consuming, at this late date to,
establish. However, there will not be any profit
gained by any of us. Just a Happy Christmas for
the Hutchins and their son.
Semper fi,
Don Greenlaw

2007 Reunion - A Huge Success! Reunion
Links
With great
sadness, I have to report the death of one
of our E 2 7 brothers. Henry (Hank) Brinlee
passed away Wednesday 15 August, 2007. Two
months ago, he attended our reunion in DC.
Hank was one helluva great guy and I think
he made every reunion we had. He was a
machine gunner in Korea and probably left
not too long after I got there. I'll deeply
miss the little guy but he was one damned
big Marine. When I get more info, I'll send
it. Semper Fi, Troy

"It's a funny thing, but, as years go
by, I think you appreciate more and more what a great thing
it was to be a United States Marine... People will tell me
what a shame it was I had to go back into the service a
second time, but I'm kinda glad I did.. Besides, I am a U.S.
Marine and I'll be one till I die."
