With three uncles participating in this courageous endeavor, and three returning, though not without some damage, we their family are three times blessed. Thank you all for the sacrifices of both you and your families.

This is great that you have this web page up and running, Thank you to all the Armed Forces out there fighting day and night so I can sleep peacefully. You all are in my prayers each and every day! God Bless you~ Candy
Very beautiful and touching.
Well done. How much we do appreciate your fighting to keep us free. We were in the Marine Corp during WWII, and know what sacrifices you are making and have made. Keep up the great work. God bless all of you.
Very Nice... Why just the other day I was sharing some of these stories with my Dad, but they happened 60 years ago in and on Iwo... My Dad taught Adfibious Amtracks in San Diego and went for the 6 days that it was going to take to clean up Iwo... 38 days later their job was wrapping up and at the meir age of 19/20, he too was so young and fells that he wasn't the hero, but all the young men that didn't make it back home. Honorably discharged in 1951 after his forth dependant arrived he came home, only after he had a tour in the Pacific, a little in Korea and Iwo.. Thank you all for knowing that we still have "The Proud" Marines...

I am honored to sign your guest book. Thank you for your service for our country. My husband wasn't in the marines, he was in the army and was drafted. He served in Viet Nam so I know the sacrifices you all made. God bless you.
Enjoyed your site. Well done, guys! I wonder if you could help me, though. I'm trying to learn about my old pal Robert Emmett Johnson )b. Portland, OR, 1927; d. Coral Gables 1990), especially his service details with USMC in Korea, after SW Pacific & NW China. Can anybody in your group assist me in writing his story? Many thanks & Semper Fi. Allan Levine, ex Queen's Own Rifles of Canada

In the last 8 yrs I have called & written to 300 hundred WW2 Marines that fought on Okinawa. Recieved hundreds of letters back. I also wrote poems about him. Have much info. about the battle of Kunishi Ridge.
I FEEL THIS MARINE WAS DOING THE JOB HE WAS TRAINED TO DO IN DEFENSE OF HIS COUNTRY AND TRYING TO PROTECT HIS OWN LIFE AND THE LIVES OF HIS COMRADES. THIS MARINE, AS WELL AS ANY OTHER SOLDIER DESERVES THE SUPPORT OF HIS COUNTRY AND HIS FELLOW SOLDIERS.

Magnificent!! God bless you all. S. A. Stanloff, 1st Lt. CAC, AUS, 1941-1946.
I am very proud of all service men and women who are making sure we are a free country. I pray all would come home safe knowing some will not. I have two brother's, one served in Germany during the building of the Berlin Wall, my youngest brother served in Vietnam. I am very proud to be their sister. I also had uncles who served in WWII and Korea. It breaks my heart to hear people say bad things about our service men and women. God Bless You All.

Thank you is not a strong enough phrase to let all of you know that I do Thank You. I am grateful that you have helped to preserve a way of life....a free way of life. Freedom, as one of my teachers said many years ago--during the Vietnam War--is not now, nor will it ever be Free. I will come back and look at your web site another time. I still miss a very fine young man, who is a Marine, gone from us now. He was the 100th from the state of Texas to die in Iraq. For him and all of you, I thank God. I thank you all for being who you are. May God Bless
I thoroughly enjoyed that letter. I am proud to be an American Soldier, Father, and Husband. I will be joining you in the fight against terror in the next fiscal year.
