EMAIL: peggy139@alltel.net I remember getting my orders to Fleet Marine Force, Camp Pendelton, CA. I was a Corpsman and I thought that I would get sea duty after my tour of duty at the Naval Medical Center, Bethsda. Arriving at Camp Del Mar at Oceanside, CA.. I knew that my destination would eventually be Korea. Making a Marine out of a Navy Corpsman was no easy task. However, the regimentation was not so bad and I really enjoyed the task!! On the way to Korea aboard the Gen Nelson M. Walker, I had no idea what awaited me on arrival in Korea! Being assigned to Easy Company was a blessing for me. It was a great outfit and the experience was something that will stay with me for a lifetime! I am proud to have served with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines |
