Hi Marines & Corpsman:
I Speak your Language because as a Fleet Marine Force Combat
Corpsman during WWII I served a total of a little over 19 Months
attached to the First Marine Division, K-3-5. I Started out at Camp
LeJeune with the Fifth Marine Raider Battalion-- No One ever Cussed
out the Marines anymore than I did BUT that Training is what kept me
alive-- and should I ever have it to do over again; I would.
To any of you Corpsman that think the Marine Duty is not what you
joined the Navy for-- You will find out different as time goes by-
You have the Best of Both Worlds The Navy & The Marine Corps. You
are serving with the Best Fighting Force in the World, Be Proud of
it So Keep those Marines Alive. They need you & You Darn Sure Need
them.
I served at Guadalcanal, Peleliu, Ngesebus, & Okinawa. The Marines
were there for me when I was Hit on Peleliu almost 63 years ago. Be
there for Them. As the years Go, you will be Mighty Proud to say " I
was a FMF Combat Corpsman".
You are doing a Super Job
"Doc" Davidson
